Brief 04 B - Editorial Illustration
Editorial illustration has been recognised as the foundation for a lot of artists, because for a lot of people it is the baseline for what a lot of artists live on, and is a very common job to get. Being provided an existing article, a size and a spot on the page we got the task to illustrate something new. However, just like in real life, we had a very short time to come up with thumbnails for our 'client' and a final illustration, so there is not a lot of room for experimentation and brainstorming. I decided to put the illustration on a mock up of what the article could look like to give the 'client' a better understanding of what it could look like in the end.
